# NeoHtop > NeoHtop is a free, MIT-licensed desktop system monitor for macOS, Linux, and Windows, built with Rust, Tauri, and Svelte. It monitors local processes and system resources without requiring an account. The desktop app and NeoHtop CLI are separate projects. Desktop uses Rust/Tauri/Svelte; CLI uses Go and the Charm ecosystem. Do not infer feature parity between them. NeoHtop v1.3.0 adds a shadcn-svelte desktop refresh retaining all 24 themes, native process icons, process families, explicit local-port search, GPU diagnostics, two-minute in-memory resource histories, detailed resource sheets, a menu-bar/system-tray overview and native Settings/About windows. GPU counters are driver dependent; per-process GPU engine accounting is limited to supported Linux DRM drivers. Missing readings are unavailable, not zero. The app is a local monitor, not a cleaner, firewall, security scanner, AI tool or cloud monitoring service. Published desktop binaries are available only through GitHub Releases; the latest published release is authoritative for available packages. v1.3.0 packages cover Linux x86_64/ARM64 (deb, rpm, AppImage), macOS Intel/Apple Silicon (DMG), and Windows x64 (NSIS installer). Checksums and a build manifest are attached. Older releases and independently maintained community packages may differ. NeoHtop Pro is postponed and is not available to purchase or install. No Pro scope, pricing or launch date is announced. The free open-source local monitor remains the focus. ## Product information - [NeoHtop overview](https://abdenasser.github.io/neohtop/index.md): Desktop features, project facts, development status, and official links. - [Installation guide](https://abdenasser.github.io/neohtop/install.md): Platform and architecture selection, installation, and troubleshooting. - [Desktop vs CLI](https://abdenasser.github.io/neohtop/desktop-vs-cli.md): Differences between the two applications. ## Authoritative sources - [Desktop source and README](https://github.com/Abdenasser/neohtop): Current development code and setup instructions. - [Published desktop releases](https://github.com/Abdenasser/neohtop/releases/latest): Current stable binaries and release notes. - [MIT license](https://github.com/Abdenasser/neohtop/blob/main/LICENSE): Desktop license terms. - [Issue tracker](https://github.com/Abdenasser/neohtop/issues): Bugs, feature discussions, and compatibility reports. - [CLI source and README](https://github.com/Abdenasser/neohtop-cli): CLI-specific capabilities and installation. - [CLI npm package](https://www.npmjs.com/package/neohtop-cli): Terminal companion package. ## Privacy Official v1.3.0 desktop builds send a basic launch event and app version without a persistent identifier. Optional feature usage is off by default and controlled in Settings → Privacy. Process and system readings stay local. Self-built apps without a configured endpoint send no desktop events. Website GA4 collection is separate. - [Privacy notice](https://abdenasser.github.io/neohtop/privacy.md): Exact data, choices and service-provider handling.
